Are there humans in world models?

As an extension of language models, researchers and entrepreneurs are developing “world models” aimed at understanding the physical world and anticipating certain events. According to their designers, these models require richer data than text or images, whose sources sometimes remain unclear. The collection of such data and the future uses of these systems therefore raise new challenges for people’s rights.
